Medical notice
The short version: these are not medical devices, and we would rather say it here in full than bury it in a footer.
What Rana Walk insoles are not
They are not medical devices. They are not registered with ANVISA in Brazil and they are not positioned as a health product in Costa Rica. They do not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, including plantar fasciitis, and no page on this site should be read as saying otherwise.
They are not personal protective equipment. They carry no CA and they are not in Annex I of Brazil’s NR-6. An employer cannot count them toward a PPE obligation.
They are not an orthotic prescription. A custom orthosis is made for one foot by a clinician. This is an industrially produced comfort and support product, trimmed to fit.
Not every system has an arch support
ORBIS and ORCA do not, by design, and selling them as arch supports is both wrong and a guaranteed return. Bi-density construction is true of GOLIATH and MANTA only.
When to see a professional first
If you have diabetes or any loss of sensation in the foot, an open wound or ulcer, a diagnosed foot deformity, or persistent pain that wakes you at night or does not change with rest, speak to a health professional before changing what is inside your shoe. Pain that gets worse after two weeks of use is a reason to stop and ask someone, not a reason to push through.
About the material figures
Where this site cites a performance figure, it belongs to a material and is attributed to that material. It is not a claim about the finished insole. Where a technology’s biomimetic chain has a primary source, we cite it by DOI; where a chain did not survive our own audit, we say so on the page rather than quietly replace it.
